Murder charges have been filed against a Columbus woman who police say choked a man with a telephone cord at a north side motel.
37-year-old Adea Williams says she acted in self-defense when she choked 35-year-old Marshall Williams at the hotel on Dublin Granville Road on July 22. Williams died on Tuesday. Police have provided no other information in the city's 60th homicide of the year.
