Police officers and ministers joined mental health, probation and prosecutor's office representatives Thursday on a new panel to study possible updates to police training. Attorney General Mike DeWine created the 16-member panel in response to several recent police shootings and protests over those cases. DeWine asked the group to create recommendations about training for use-of-force situations and for dealing with racially diverse populations.
There's no timeline on when the group will complete its work.
