The head of the Columbus Fraternal Order of Police is strongly denying politics played any part in the arrest of porn start Stormy Daniels earlier this week.
Daniels was arrested after a performance at a Columbus strip club. The city attorney. Democrat Zach Klein, dropped the charges, saying they could not be proven. Daniels' attorney says some of the officers had social media pages that appeared to be very much in favor of President Trump, who has repeatedly denied having had an extra-marital affair with Daniels. Union president Jason Pappas says the arresting officers applied an illegal sexual contact law indiscriminately, charging two other women in addition to Daniels. Pappas says the undercover team included female and black officers. He says it's "absolutely untrue" the arrests were politically motivated. Trump won the White House in part by winning the votes of officers and the support of their unions.
