A new poll shows more than 60 percent of Ohioans believe the Affordable Care Act should remain in place, but should be improved. O'Dell Owens runs a group called Interact for Health, a sponsor of the Ohio Health Issues Poll.

Owens says the poll shows 91 percent of Democrats, 66 percent of Independents and 40 percent of Republicans support keeping and improving the ACA. The poll also shows 20 percent Ohioans aren't sure how they feel about the law, up from 13 percent in 2014. He says the results also show people don't know that the ACA is often called "Obamacare."

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he will schedule a floor vote next week on the Cassady-Graham bill, the latest GOP effort to repeal and replace the ACA. Republican Ohio Governor John Kasich says this plan hurts people who can't afford healthcare, removes protections for pre-exisiting conditions, phases out federal funding for Medicaid expansion, and kills 45 billion dollars in funding for the opioid crisis, which was included in the last GOP bill.
