The southbound lanes of I- 71 at East North Broadway were closed briefly this morning after an overnight police chase ended with a crash.
Police say the chase started in Delaware County when officers tried to pull someone over for questioning about a burglary. The chase ended in Columbus when police used stop sticks to puncture the driver's tires and the car flipped onto the freeway. The unnamed driver is hospitalized. The southbound lanes were reopened shortly before 7 a.m.
