Prison Employee Fired In Wake Of Inmate Escape

A state prisons employee has been fired over the escape of a Mansfield Correctional Institution inmate serving a life sentence for rape. The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections says building construction superintendent James Miracle failed to properly supervise tools, falsified forms and forged signatures on maintenance inventories. James Myers used a pickax to break into a storage area to obtain the three ladders he used to escape on July 3rd.
