Pro Marijuana Group Leads Opponents In Campaign Cash

yeson3ohio.com

The group seeking to legalize recreational and medicinal marijuana has more than half a million dollars in campaign cash on hand. Campaign finance reports show ResponsibleOhio's political action committee raised nearly 12 million dollars in the past three months and spent about the same amount over that period. Opponents raised 713 thousand dollars. An analysis by the Center for Public Integrity shows the ResponsibleOhio PAC has spent an estimated 3.75 million dollar to air nearly 82 hundred tv ads. The opposition campaign Ohioans Against Marijuana Monopolies spent just over 33 thousand dollars to air 31 broadcast spots. The estimates do not include radio, online and direct mail ads or TV ads that aired on local cable systems.
