Proposed Columbus Ordinance Would Require Buffer Zones Around Abortion Clinics

Columbus City Council is considering an ordinance designed to reduce harassment at abortion clinics.  The measure would create a 15-foot buffer zone around the clinics where protesters could not confront or follow workers and patients.  Supporters say it would improve safety, but Ohio Right to Life officials say it would violate protestors' First Amendment rights. Council is expected to vote on the measure at its June 20th meeting.
