The central Ohio chapter of the American Red Cross has issued a call for donations amid a critical shortage of Type O blood.
The organization says less than a two day supply of the universal blood type is available in central Ohio. It's the type most used by hospitals to treat trauma patients. The organization says shortages are typical this time of year. To schedule a donation, contact the American Red Cross here.
