Regional Jobless Rate Fell Slightly In April

The state says central Ohio's unemployment rate for April was 3.4 percent, down a tenth of a point from March.

It is the lowest regional rate since July of 2001. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says Delaware County had an unemployment rate of 2.8 percent, and Union County's rate was 3 percent. Franklin County's rate was 3.3 percent last month, and the rate for Columbus was 3.4 percent. Rates fell in 85 of the state's 88 counties.
