The unemployment rate for the Columbus metropolitan area increased in June. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says the rate rose four-tenths of a point to 4.2 percent. The department blames the increase on high school students looking for summer jobs and new college graduates looking for work. The Department says the city's rate is 4.2 percent, Franklin County's rate is 4.1 percent, and Delaware County's rate is 3.7 percent. The statewide rate is 5 percent.
