Report: Ohio Behind Most States In Wind Energy

A new U.S. Department of Energy report shows steady demand remains in Ohio for small-scale wind energy projects. The report ranks Ohio sixth in the nation after adding 42 megawatts of wind energy from small-scale projects since 2003. Ohio's overall wind energy production still lags behind most states after moves were made by the Republican-controlled legislature to thwart development of large-scale wind farms.
