Forbes Magazine is reporting the sale price of the Columbus Crew is 68 million dollars. Neither Hunt Sports Group nor the new owner, San Francisco-based Precourt Sports Ventures, disclosed the sale price when they announced the deal earlier this week. Both groups are not commenting on the Forbes report. Forbes says 68 million is the highest price paid for an existing Major League Soccer team. The new owner says he will not move the team.
