Restaurant Group Opposes Ginther's Early Closure Plan Amid COVID-19 Spikes

ohiorestaurant.org

State health officials Sunday reported 889 new cases of COVID-19 and ten new deaths.

The state now has 84,073 cases and 3307 deaths. Meanwhile, the Ohio Restaurant Association says it is opposed to Mayor Andy Ginther's proposed ordinance requiring bars and restaurants to close at 11 p.m starting this Tuesday.   Ginther says indoor spaces are the largest spreaders of COVID-19 in the city among young people. Association officials say the measure goes against the governor's Restaurant Advisory Group's recommendations.  City Council is expected to vote on the proposal tonight.
