Road Debris Causes Crashes And Fatalities On Ohio Roadways

dailytech.com

State traffic accident data shows 20 people are killed each year in crashes caused by debris on highways. Debris caused nearly 19 thousand crashes between 2012 and 2016, killing 102 people and seriously injuring 569 others. The debris comes most often from unsecured truck loads. The Ohio Department of Transportation says nearly all of these accidents are preventable. The state spends 4 million dollars a year picking up roadside trash.
