The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland is preparing an exhibit of Prince artifacts for its Memorial Hall, following his death Thursday at the age of 57. Facility vice president Todd Meseck says Prince was inducted in 2004, in his first year of eligibility, because he shaped music and mentored other artists.
Prince's body was found in an elevator at his estate in suburban Minneapolis. Born Prince Rogers Nelson in 1958, Prince gained superstar status with his album "1999." He had several number-one hits and won seven Grammy Awards.
