"Sanctuary Night" Space On Sullivant Progressing

sanctuarynight.com

Work continues on a new center in Franklinton to help sex workers and victims of human trafficking.

The non-profit organization "Sanctuary Night" purchased a building on Sullivant Avenue to turn into a drop-in center that will provide food, clothing and a safe environment.  The center will also connect people in need with other resources. The building once served as a pop-up brothel.

Officials say Sullivant Avenue is an epicenter for prostitution arrests and sex workers. The organization currently offers help for two hours one night a week, but hope to do more because of high demand.  They had hoped to open the new space this summer.
