The Ohio Department of Agriculture served a warrant at the Fairfield County home of the father of former OSU running back Ezekiel Elliott yesterday, as part of their investigation into the killing of a serval cat.
A deputy was forced to shoot the exotic animal Sunday near Stacy Elliot's Canal Winchester home after it attacked a dog and became aggressive. Officials say they have no records of anyone applying for a permit to own the cat. Under Ohio law it is a first-degree misdemeanor not to have an exotic animal permit and a fifth-degree felony for allowing one to escape.
