State Files Lawsuit To Protect Local Public Wetland

ohioenvironmentalcouncil.org

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is asking a state appeals court to allow the Sawmill Wetlands to remain a public park. The department is appealing a Franklin County judge's ruling granting the 17-acre park's title to a developer. The  park was to be swapped with the developer for land near Highbanks Metropark until the state backed out of the contract in 2012.
