State Fines Mount Carmel Over Doc's Doses For Patients Who Died

The Ohio Board of Pharmacy is fining Mount Carmel Health system 400 thousand dollars for violating state pharmacy law. 

In the settlement, the system also agreed to pay over 77 thousand dollars for the Board's investigation involving the now-closed Mount Carmel West hospital and fired doctor William Husel. who has pleaded not guilty to killing 25 people by giving them excessive doses of painkillers. Two pharmacists cited for verifying large doses of fentanyl reached separate settlements that include fines and additional training.
