State To Help Human Trafficking Victims Faster

Jul 21, 2015

The state plans to offer help to victims of human trafficking faster, including drug treatment programs and shelter options.

A new report issued by a state task force says Ohio's Medicaid and family services departments plan to work with county officials to reduce victims' waiting times. Other priorities include making sure police have up-to-date information on tracking human trafficking and boosting public awareness. The report says nearly all of the 26 recommendations from three years ago have been adopted in some form.
