State Officials Disqualify One Fair Ride, Review Four Others

One midway ride at the Ohio State Fair has been barred from operating after inspectors found "visible corrosion" and four others that had yet to open are "under review".

The Ohio Department of Agriculture, which oversees the fair, shut down a Ferris wheel-type ride known as "Military Base" because it showed "visible corrosion."   Talley Amusements is a new ride provider, brought in this year after a ride operated by Amusements of America broke apart in 2017, killing one fair goer and injuring seven others.
