State Releases COVID-19 Guidance For Higher Education

State health officials Thursday reported over eleven-hundred new cases of COVID-19, bringing thestate's total to 61-thousand-331.

Officials also reported 15 new deaths, bringing the state's total to 3006.

The state is releasing guidelines to reopen its colleges and universities this fall. Governor Mike DeWine says the plan outlines the minimum standards for students returning to campus, and requires schools to develop their own COVID-19 policies and procedures.  Two-hundred-million dollars from the federal CARES act will go to higher education to help those institutions safely prepare for students to return.
