State Releases Unemployment Data For April

Ohio's unemployment rate for April is 4.3 percent, down one-tenth of a point from March.

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says today non-farm payrolls rose by 14 hundred last month to a revised total of nearly 5.6 million. Ohio gained jobs in sectors including educational and health services; financial activities; and professional and business services. Those exceeded job losses in manufacturing, trade, transportation and utilities; leisure and hospitality; and information.
