The Bellefontaine woman accused of suffocating her three young sons over a 13-month period has lost her appeal of a court order to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
At issue is whether a confession made by Brittany Pilkington may be used at her trial. She has pleaded not guilty. Her attorneys argue their experts concluded Pilkington has brain damage and a low IQ. An appeals court upheld the order in May, and the Ohio Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to hear the case.
