The Ohio Supreme Court today ordered the Delaware County Board of Elections to place the Orange Township fire levy on the February ballot. On a 4-3 vote, the justices granted the request by Township trustees for the order, after the board refused to certify the levy. The board said the trustees were late turning in the required paperwork. Trustees plan to lay off 22 firefighters and paramedics if voters reject the three-year property tax levy. It would raise 6.8 million dollars a year. Voters rejected a levy last November.
