Police have identified the teen shot and killed in South Linden Monday afternoon as 17-year old Jeremiah Harper of Whitehall.
Columbus police were called at 12:55 p.m. to the area of Duxberry and Hamilton Avenues by a man who identified himself as a friend of Harper's. Nearby Linden-McKinley STEM Academy was locked down as a precaution. Police released no information about a possible motive; they say it is the 87th homicide of the year.
