Three Central Ohio School Districts Handling Hot Weather Differently

sandiegouniontribune.com

Two Clark County school districts will dismiss early today because of excessive heat. The Greenon Local Schools will dismiss students in all grades two hours early, but will provide air conditioned spaces for students whose parents can't pick them up. The Clark-Shawnee schools are releasing kids 90 minutes early, including students who ride the bus. Meanwhile, Columbus City Schools officials say students and staff in 50-plus building without air conditioning will get bottles of water.  Custodians will have fans running and teachers will conduct activities to keep students from becoming run down.  Parents are being urged to keep their children hydrated at home and dressed for warm weather.
