Thunderbirds Jet Crash Results In Lower Dayton Air Show Attendance

daytondailynews.com

Attendance at last weekend's Dayton Air Show is estimated at 44 thousand people, 16 thousand below projections. Organizers blame the cancellation of performances by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds after a jet left the runway and flipped over upon landing last Friday. Organizers estimated 51 thousand people attended last year, despite cancellation by the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels after one of their pilots was killed practicing for an air show in Tennessee.
