The Cleveland Indians last night tied the American League record of 20 consecutive victories. Corey Kluber pitched a complete game four-hitter and Francisco Lindor went deep to become the team's first shortstop with 30 homers in a season as Cleveland beat visiting Detroit 2-nothing. Kluber and outfielder Austin Jackson say the team is not focused on the historic winning streak.
Cleveland tied the mark set by the 2002 Oakland A's. The Elias Sports Bureau says the major league record is 26, set by the 1916 New York Giants.
