Turnpike Commission To Vote On Bond Plan Today

The Ohio Turnpike Commission today will consider a proposal to raise tolls by 2.7 percent next year.It would be the first of 10 annual increases to pay for delayed road and bridge projects. Tolls would rise by 25 cents. The Commission is also is expected to authorize 1 billion dollars in bonds that will be partially funded by higher tolls. Ohio Governor John Kasich pushed for the plan.
