Two female Ohio University graduate students who sued after a sexual harassment investigation of a former English professor have reached a settlement with the school.
Christine Adams and Susanna Hempstead say they will each receive 350 thousand dollars as part of the settlement. They alleged Title IX and 14th amendment violations. They claimed Andrew Escobedo groped them and made harassing comments during gatherings at two bars in Athens in December of 2015. A handful of other students made similar complaints.Escobedo resigned before the school could take formal disciplinary action.
