Upgrades Planned For Columbus Convention Center

wikipedia.org

A major renovation project is being planned at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority says it will need 125-million dollars for expansion and upgrades by 2016. The plan to borrow money for the project needs approval by Franklin County commissioners and Columbus City Council. The plan includes adding convention space and making improvements to the interior of the center. Authority director Bill Jennison says the project will make the area a stronger competitor for conventions.
