metroparks.net

Franklin County voters Tuesday approved a replacement levy for the Metro Parks system by a margin of nearly 2-to-1, giving the system the green light to continue to expand.

The vote means an additional 6 million dollars a year begininng in 2020, costing the owner of a 100 thousand dollar home a little more than 33 dollar annually. The number of visitors to the parks continues to rise as the region's population grows, and officials are planning to expand trails, programs and overall acreage.
