Officials have identified a worker fatally injured in an accident at a General Motors plant in suburban Cleveland. Authorities were contacted yesterday afternoon about a worker trapped by machinery at the metal processing plant in Parma. The medical examiner in Cleveland identified the victim today as 52-year-old Phil Niewiadomski of Painesville. GM spokesman Tom Mock says company and union officials have a joint investigative team looking into what happened. The facility produces steel parts and employs about 1,500 people.
