Republican Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted says a record number of Ohioans cast absentee ballots in the November election.
Voter turnout was 71.33 percent, compared with 70.53 percent turnout in 2012 and 69.97 percent in 2008. Just over 5.6 million ballots were cast this year, down by 25 thousand from 2012. Roughly 155 thousand provisional ballots were cast, 85 percent which were counted.
