Youngstown To Allow Fracking

The Youngstown city council voted Wednesday to seek offers to lease city-owned land for gas and oil drilling despite some heated opposition.

Some city council members wanted to wait until a U.S. EPA progress report on it's study of fracking is completed late this year. 50 people who oppose the drilling process because of environmental concerns protested the council vote. Some said they will collect petition signatures to try to get the vote overturned.
