Dakota Access Pipeline

President Trump stood in front of an audience of operating engineers in Crosby, Texas, on Wednesday and promised to make it easier for them to lay pipe.

"Nobody in the world can do what you folks do," Trump said to applause from the assembled crowd. "And we're going to make it easier for you."

A Stark County judge this week dismissed a lawsuit Ohio filed against the developers of the 4.2 billion dollar Rover natural gas pipeline that stretches from West Virginia to Michigan.

A protest of the Dakota Access Pipeline shut down traffic in downtown Columbus for over an hour,  after one man chained himself to a van parked in the intersection of Broad and 3rd Streets.

A Columbus woman had started a petition drive to bring back the 37 Ohio Highway Patrol troopers sent by Governor John Kasich to North Dakota to provide security.

Native Americans, environmentalists and allied groups in Ohio staged a rally outside of Columbus City Hall Monday, using prayers, speeches and traditional singing to protest a planned pipeline near native lands, and to call on Ohio to support more renewable energy.
