Easton Town Center

Columbus Board of Education members said last night they will meet with Columbus City officials every three months to learn more about the tax breaks the city has in the pipeline.

In exchange for an estimated $68-million tax abatement, the developer behind the Easton Town Center retail complex is promising to create 500 new jobs, 250 housing units and jumpstart a development fund for the nearby Linden neighborhood.

A major outdoor retailer will open a temporary store at Easton Town Center this summer to learn whether a permanent Columbus store would be successful.

Police today shot and killed a man they say was responsible for a pair of early morning shootings in Groveport and Grove City.
