A pair of auto plants in Ohio plan on stopping production beginning next week because of the United Auto Workers' strike against General Motors.

Workers at the Navistar International truck plant in Springfield are scheduled to hold a ratfication vote this weekend on a new six-year contract agreement. 

Navistar International says it has reached a deal to build a version of a General Motors van at its plant in Springfield, starting next year.

Clark County officials say truck-maker Navistar International will add 300 jobs at its Springfield plant and build a second assembly line to boost production.

Navistar International says it is closing a truck plant in Texas and transferring 300 jobs to its plant in Springfield.
