A revised health order continues to state that contact sports teams cannot conduct games with other teams, and cannot allow spectators at their scrimmages.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association is proceeding as if the fall contact sports season will occur as planned amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The state's high school athletes are allowed to return to in-person training beginning today.  The Ohio High School Athletic Association says skills training and conditioning for all sports, including contact sports, may resume under proper COVID-19 safety restrictions. 

The Ohio High School Athletic Association has canceled all winter sports tournaments. The start of the spring sports season remains indefinitely postponed, according to OHSAA Executive Director Jerry Snodgrass.

High school sports came to a halt with the statewide closure of schools. At a press conference today, Ohio High School Athletic Association Executive Director Jerry Snodgrass acknowledged the possibility of canceling winter sports tournaments, but the indefinite postponement remains in place for now.
