Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum

Sixteen artists have been nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. They are Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Iron Maiden, JAY-Z, Chaka Khan, Carole King, Fela Kuti, LL Cool J, New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, Todd Rundgren, Tina Turner, and Dionne Warwick.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland reopens this weekend, offering free admission to healthcare workers and their families on Sunday. Admission to the museum will also be free on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and celebrate music's role in the Civil Rights Movement.

Baron Wolman, the photographer whose music images captured the immediacy of rock culture and told a story in each shot, died Monday at the age of 83 following a battle with ALS. Born in Columbus in 1937, Wolman became interested in photography while serving in the Army as a counter-intelligence officer in Berlin. 

Virtual learning materials have taken on added importance during the pandemic, including an educational platform offered by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland.

Greg Harris has served as president and CEO of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum since 2013, but his love of music and museums began well before that. On this edition of Music Journeys, Harris shares his personal path to Cleveland, steps that included running a record store and working at the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Four floors of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland will be transformed later this month with an exhibit featuring some of the most iconic instruments in music history. Play It Loud: Instruments of Rock & Roll will showcase the tools musicians used to craft the songs fans know and love.
