After two months of studying rates of COVID-19 among students in classrooms, Ohio is dropping quarantine recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for some students.

As the coronavirus positivity rate in Columbus continues to improve, Columbus City Schools are getting ready to reopen buildings for at least some of their students.  

Most schools saying they plan to restart learning in two months.

Ohio Governor Mike Dewine says he fully intends to see schools in the state reopen this fall, but the responsibility for what that looks like is up to individual districts.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced Monday that Ohio schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year.
