DESCRIPTION
Folk, blues, jazz, and world music elements will be incorporated to create music that is new exciting, trancelike, melodic and rhythmic in its scope. The French-American Peace Ensemble features Kidd Jordan (saxophone), William Parker (bass), Hamid Drake (drums) and, from France, FrançoisTusques (piano) and Louis Sclavis (reeds). Jazz Poetry Ensemble™ member Michael Vander Does will also perform some poetry with the FAPE. William Parker recently received a Doris Duke Artist Award in jazz. The concert will be at Shadowbox Live, located in Columbus’ Brewery District at 503 S. Front St.
