Columbus, OH – New York Senator Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign says the former first lady has picked up the endorsement of an Ohio superdelegate. Northeast Ohio attorney Craig Bashein says he'll vote for Clinton at the Democratic National Convention this summer.
Bashein stated that Clinton has the strength to defeat Republican John McCain in November.
The Democratic Party added Bashein and another person as superdelegates earlier this month. The other announced support for Obama.
Barack Obama leads among pledged delegates and is less than 100 total delegates away from securing the nomination.
Also on Wednesday, an anonymous source from the United Mine Workers Union said in a statement to the Associated Press that the union voted on Tuesday to support Senator Obama.
