Bond set for man charged with striking Columbus police officer

Bond is set at 15-thousand dollars for the man accused of striking a Columbus police officer and a woman with an SUV on Sunday. 41-year-old Alphonso Jennings III allegedly struck police sergeant Steve Livingston and Morgan Salisbury on the ramp from I-71 north to I-270 west while Livingston responded to a report of a crash. Both remain hospitalized. Prosecutors say Jennings was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs at the time.
