West Virginia officials say a company has submitted a winning bid of 27-point-4 million dollars to build an intermodal facility that will be part of the Heartland Corridor project. Mountaineer Contractors will build the rail-truck facility for the project that is designed to move freight containers more efficiently between Columbus and Norfolk, Virginia. The facility is expected to be operational by 2014.
