Columbus Cops Cleared In Shooting Death

A Franklin County Grand Jury has cleared two Columbus police officers in the shooting death of a burglary suspect who they say struck one of them with an SUV as he tried to escape.Officers Robin Medley and Christopher Britt said they saw 36-year-old Michael Kelly trying to steal a catalytic converter from a vehicle in January. The officers said when they identified themselves and tried to arrest him, Kelly tried to escape and struck Britt. Both officers fired shots at Kelly.
