Shelby County authorities are trying to adopt out more than 250 dogs seized from a puppy mill on Saturday morning. The sheriff's office conducted a search of Pedigree Pets after a six-month investigation of animal cruelty complaints. Investigators say the dogs were found in poor health in kennel conditions unsuitable for housing animals. Deputies say they expect most of the dogs to be placed in foster care by Thanksgiving.
