Several Indictments In Central Ohio Drug Case

A central Ohio grand jury has issued indictments against 14 people accused of being involved in a drug-trafficking ring that brought oxycodone from Florida "pill mills" to sell in central Ohio. Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien says the organization was bringing drugs with a street value of between $10,000 and $20,000 to the state every week for at least two years. The alleged ringleader, 29-year Michael Berry, and 13 members of the organization were arrested Nov. 17. Authorities seized 17 guns, including 3 assault rifles, a bullet-proof vest, more than $8,000 in cash and 900 pills with a street value of $27,000.
